The Sphere Handbook was initiated in 1997 by several NGOs to develop a set of minimum global standards in essential areas of humanitarian response for use during humanitarian action. Humanitarian standards are a useful resource for practitioners to plan, implement and evaluate response

Proposal Writing

Many civil society organizations seek , based on their need to continue serving the community , to design projects and write project proposals in an efficient and effective manner based on the mission of the institution and the needs of the target group. It also responds to the requirements of the funding bodies in order to improve the institution’s opportunities to finance its projects

Grant proposal writing training aims to Making the trainee get to know the main frameworks for writing successful projects and realize the way in which the donor makes his decision and how to find the right funder , and prepare the proposed project budget in a way that is close to reality so that the request is not financially rejected . At the end of the training , each participant will be able to 

  • Have the knowledge and skills to write professional project proposals and competition.
  • Lead and facilitate proposal design sessions
  • Preparing the project budget
  • Identify performance and evaluation indicators for projects of non-profit organizations profitability
  • How to assess and identify societal needs
  • Carry out an evaluation of plans based on secondary resources

Monitoring &Evaluation

The evaluation and monitoring process is an essential and important part to achieve the goals and objectives for which programs and projects were designed and built in humanitarian organizations , as each organization has an evaluation and monitoring plan linked to the organization’s strategic plan within precise, clear and specific indicators, and projects are monitored and evaluated as part of strategic plan. Monitoring and evaluation is an important tool in developing the professional, administrative, technical and financial performance of human cadres, partners and beneficiaries of the program or project, which enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization and contributes positively to the sustainability of the organization’s work and programs .

The goal of training is to help managers and administrators make appropriate decisions, by improving the decision-making process and selecting successful strategies that lead To achieve the goals of the organization, after training, the trainees will be able to :

  • The ability to make decisions related to operations, policies and strategies related to ongoing and future programs and projects
  • Improving the decision-making process and accountability, and thus will lead to better results and more efficient use of resources
